A block, also known as rock, is a gameplay element from Pit Pot, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, and Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle.
Pit Pot
In Pit Pot, Igul can use the magic hammer to break gray blocks inside the Pit Pot Castle. Yellow blocks can't be destroyed, but when they are hit, all gray blocks that were destroyed will return.
Alex Kidd
In the Alex Kidd games, Alex Kidd can break certain blocks by using the Shellcore martial art or vehicles such as the Sukopako Motorcycle, Peticopter, and Pogo Stick.
Common blocks in both games are:

Some areas, such as Radaxian Castle and Janken Fortress, have blocks with an unique appearance.
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle included rubber blocks, black blocks that will make Alex bounce when he jumps or attacks them. Also, the enemy Kickoree can break blocks.
